Personally Speaking published

Last year Being Alongside provided a small grant to help fund the publication of a new book entitled Personally Speaking, in which 22 psychiatrists share how their own life experiences have shaped their approach to psychiatric care.

The aim of Glenn’s new publication, Personally Speaking, has been to gather psychiatrists together to share in an open and honest contemplation on how they can learn from difficult life experiences in service of their lifelong journey to maturity, and in service of developing compassionate, relational and person-centred responses to mental distress. It carries the hope of being a creative contribution to cultural change in psychiatric training and practice.
